The Holiday | Moodboard Monday No. 1

Welcome to the first of many Moodboard Mondays! Once a month I will choose a movie to redesign 4 inspired spaces from (1 space for each Monday of the month). Every Monday I will showcase 1 inspired design from that month’s movie to redesign and will include shop-able links to add these items into your space.

This month’s choice is none other than, The Holiday. This movie is by far my favorite feel good movie - so naturally I had to start here. The first space I will be designing this month is Amanda Woods’ (Cameron Diaz) master bedroom. Amanda’s bedroom boasts the perfect combination of California cool & classic traditional design. The cool tones paired with cozy accent pieces create an inviting setting to unwind from a busy day.

My take on the space features very similar elements as photographed below, but I decided to add a modern flare. I’ve paired sharp edges and hard lines with soft accents and cozy materials to bring lightness into the space.. Opposites attract - light & soft paired with dark & structured created just the right amount of dimension the space needed.
